Meeting of the Inter Press November 19

Report is mandated by a student.
We reported the positions according to our terms of coordination at the meeting.
unions personal reaffirmed their support to the student movement and a willingness to amplify the movement of personnel. By cons it should be noted that the issue of blocking, they are not necessarily on the same line as us, seeking solutions to so-called alternative across days or so beaches trivialization wanting to resume the dialogue with the presidency by making concessions if necessary. We have stated positions on the issue of coordination that are firm (not predict the future of ag):
no negotiations with the presidency on the issue of reopening. It was to reopen it without conditions.
The various proposals on how to proceed for blocking were raised: Through an ultimatum forcing the presidency has shut the doors and take responsibility. In case of breach of this agreement is blocking was the former. We also reaffirmed THESE PROPOSALS WERE TO BE REFERRED TO AG WHICH ONE IS SOVEREIGN. We rejected the proposals of such commonplace, reaching out to the presidency.
personnel we have proposed the holding of courses around the conference liberal reforms. To discuss ag.
Proposals from the personal to make a banner hung at the university with the slogan: Reopening of the university, abrogation of the LRU students and staff signed
They call a day of action on November 27.
They keep us informed on 4 pages and agree on the making of leaflets and joint initiatives.
ago a referee freedom copyrighted by teachers demanding the immediate and unconditional reopening of the faculty. What was going against the decision of President Cave.
ago conviction on the part of teachers for sending Crs Campus by Cave. However on the issue of teachers' strike is very hypothetical, see unthinkable except on days of 24 hours as the appeal of the protest on Tuesday.

President's waffling

Notice of the President (November 20, 2007)
After series of consultations last week, I attended a roundtable discussion Monday, November 19 at 3:30 p.m. at the MMSH. The objective of this roundtable, which went all the representatives who were invited, was to study the possibility of a quick reopening of the site Schuman. A frank, thorough and useful occurred. I fully understand that the players in our community, like myself and the management team, want this reopened.

However, if the site has been closed, for a compelling reason and now everyone has understood: the security of persons and property. Reopening under conditions of safety not guaranteed is not sustainable beyond a few hours. This reopening is however possible when the staff and students can work, circulate or discuss the building safely. It will be compatible with the expression of a student movement that chose other forms that blocking or "filtering" that a large majority of staff and many students have told me they were opposed.

Nobody wishes more than I do the quick reopening of the site Schuman. The careful consideration of its possibility, in safety and dignity of all, is my constant preoccupation.

GA

Agenda:

1 - Presentation of the LRU

2 - Assessment of the situation at the MMSH (Mediterranean House of Humanities)

3 - Review of the National Coordination

4 - Debate on the holding of the round table proposed by M. Cave (1530 MMSH)

5 - Update on the demonstration of 20 November

6 - Outlook

We were about 300 General Meeting, held in the parking lot of the university following a vote (it was proposed to hold the AG in college, which was rejected).

1 - Presentation of the LRU

2 -

  • After a first AG this morning at 10am, the MMSH is always open and classes will still take place, however students to support our movement and called the commoditization of class tomorrow to participate in the demonstration in Marseille

  • AG A staff of the faculty of letters it is also required: a call for the demonstration of 20 was launched. On the other hand, have personal decided to send representatives of their AG at the roundtable suggested by Mr. Cave the same day at 15.30 they want the immediate reopening of the facultée, but propose to hold a student meeting the same day that reopening, to discuss ways to boost engagement. They are still willing to discuss with management.

At this point, the news of the blockade and occupation of the site of Marseille St-Charles has arrived.

3 - The national coordination has Tours held at the weekend launched two calls: one for the demonstration of 20 November, the other is a call to students and high school students to rally Thursday, November 22.

Following an over-representation of a student union at the national coordination, a student wrote a motion that was passed in general meeting:

"We, students from Aix-en-Provence , General Meeting November 19, 2007, wish to strongly condemn the attitude of activists Unef at the National Coordination of Tours.
While Unef is non-existent locally, she finds a way to place its troops by sending false delegations, not mandated by their GAs.
These practices have consequences that may be very serious for the following: By refusing, by blocking all perspectives interprofessional working, they condemn the student movement to being a corporatist growls, and thus condemned to death . We
offusquons of these methods: the national coordination should not be the place where an organization would take the chestnuts out of fire by directing the mobilization, but the gathering of all general meetings together on clear mandates. Delegates then mandated must defend the mandate of their AG. But the activists Unef followed guidelines from the National Office.
We condemn these acts and call for the utmost vigilance students mobilized "

4 - The president called the representatives of students, teaching staff & BIATOSS and deans at a roundtable on theme "conditions for a quick reopening of the site Schuman "

The VPE (Vice President Student) said that the unions did not negotiate on behalf of the student movement at that meeting. The AG decided to appoint mandated to attend. Five people were eventually appointed, with a warrant requirement: requiring the reopening unconditionally and without any negotiation site Schuman, and the president of the university positions itself publicly against the LRU

5 - The event of 20 November (students will gather with the students in a "procession young")

6 - Several proposals were made: were passed:

- massively from St. Charles to help activists maintain the blocking of their site

- CA block that would occur until the reopening of the university

- organizing a meeting in Aachen after demo of 20 from then on to a lead, but undefined AG held by the committee action

- the next AG on Thursday at 24:30

was proposed reinvestment of college after GA but this was refused

The GA was quite disturbed by various insults, shouts, fights, we point out that whatever their origin, we condemn totally

November 19 November 15, re-AG in the parking

Thursday, November 15

New AG to 12.30 (again in the parking lot) during which we realize that the toll free provided that day can not be done: having specified the day of action at the previous AGM, we learn that we are expected by the cops in the vicinity of tolls ...

A point operation of the AG was added to the agenda to improve operation (vote all proposals, stop arresting the gallery etc..) A proposal was then made to reinvest in college immediately to hold the AGM .

Following the vote (positive), the 350 attendees were moving so in the great hall of the college of letters and happily! For a quarter of an hour later realized students ... it started to snow!

However, the service order established during the AG has informed us of the presence of police at the entrances to the university. The forum has added a point on actions to be taken in view of the situation. So he finally decided to leave together at the end of the GA
The forum, however, required to record as many proposals as possible, including those not offered to vote at the last AGM, in accordance with decisions in point:

- condemnation of police action

- informing people in different ways, through theater, in public places

- the reopening of the university set up information tables with the legislation in addition to analysis

Then actions come in the following days:

- organization of a highway and blocking a roundabout Strategic Friday 16
- control committee on Monday 11am to organize
AG - and therefore AG on Monday at 12:30 , appointment to the faculty of letters
- proposal for 19 to block a high place in agreement with the employees
- participation in the event with the defenders of public service Tuesday, November 20, 10am appointment on Canebière in Marseille
- decision to leave immediately at the end of the GA to go to the site MMSH inform, discuss and so on.

Due to time, proposals calling for a debate built were postponed to the next AG:

- appointing spokespersons of the movement of Aix-en-Provence

- action to block oil installations, in agreement with the employees

- block CA that would occur until the reopening of the university

At the end of the GA, the students have left the great hall in a calm and went to the site of the MMSH to continue to inform, discuss and organize.

GA was held as scheduled, but ... in the parking student, the only place in the college more or less accessible (threats of expulsion from the park by the cops we are gone): between 500 and 600 people courageously face the cold; France 3 and France Inter were present. The action of occupying the station, given by the national coordination of Rennes, not acts, some telling us that the railroad is not conducive to this type of action. A report of the national coordination of Rennes is made by mandated the weekend.

claims the platform Rennes are added to our ; one scheduled for next AG Thursday 15, and a toll free action for the 15 are decided. The proposal to reinvest in college the same day and next day were canceled, following a vote massively NPPV (does not vote), but the principle is accepted by the GA. The dispersion is carried outside the town hall and students are given an appointment for the following day to prepare for the day.
